What's New in KCMS 4.0
Many new features and updates have been implemented in
version 4.0
based on user feedback over the last 2 years. Some of the new
features include:
- Upgraded database engine for increased stability, compatability, and new 'under-the-hood'
features.
- Updated menus and shortcut icons with a more contemporary look and feel.
- All reports can now be exported to an Acrobat PDF file from the report wizard.
- Added new wizard to e-mail billing statements as a PDF file to members in
a single process. To access this feature, click the Tools menu and select 'E-mail Billing Statements'.
- Added new member directory report which prints in landscape mode in a compact
format (12 per page) and includes a picture.
Also renamed member directory reports
to better reflect the format.
- List views for Events and Service Projects now sort with the most recent activities
first by default. You can still customize the sort capability by clicking on a column and then
clicking the Sort Ascending or Descending buttons on the toolbar.
- When adding, editing, or deleting records on a detail form (e.g. Members)
the underlying list views are now updated to reflect the changes.
- When entering a member payment or other receipt, the 'Deposit ID' field is
now a required value.
- Re-labeled 'Other Phone' field to 'Other/Cell'
- Fixed issue on Today View where selecting to show all members resulted in
an error.
- Added feature to check for product updates within the program. To do so, click the Help menu and choose 'Check for Updates'.
Fixed tab order for fields on Members form.
- Fixed issue that caused an error when restoring a backup with a different
name than the current database.
- Fixed bug on the 'Attendance Record by Date' reports where the number of eligible
meetings was calculated incorrectly when the Date Joined value was later than the
selected attendance range.
- Fixed an error with the
'Aged Receivables by Member' report where invoices
that
were exactly 90 days old would appear in both the 61-90 and >90 aging pools.
- Fixed an issue with the
'Enter Deposit for Member Payments Received' feature
that caused an overflow error when entering large check numbers.
- Updated invoice description used in the 'Invoice Meals' wizard on the attendance
screen to reflect the number of meals being billed (e.g. 'meals' vs. 'meal').
- Updated code to 'Exit' application to prevent the program from minimizing
in the task bar in some instances.
